Floating Floors are easily maintained. Along with prompt cleaning up of spills, sweeping with a soft broom, vacuuming using an appropriate hardwood floor attachment and a quick once over with a spray mop, will remove dust, dirt and debris and ensure your floor stays looking beautiful for the long haul.
- Ease Of Installation
All three flooring products share the same installation method, and can be directly laid on top of most solid sub-floor surfaces, including ceramic tiles. Once the substrate is smooth, level and dry a rubber or foam underlay is rolled out to absorb any flexing and help produce quiet underfoot comfort.
Using a modified tongue-and-groove system, known as Click-and-Lock, each board is assembled to create a floating raft over the underlay. A small gap along the perimeter walls, deliberately left to allow for seasonal expansions and contraction, and prevent any possible buckling, is then concealed with baseboard skirts or scotia to finish.
