Do I need underlay for my Engineered Timber floors?

Underlay is only required in you're floating your engineered timber floorboards, if you're direct sticking (gluing) direct to the subfloor, no underlay is required.

Do I need underlay for dual bond installation?

Yes, but it requires a rubber underlay, like our impactamat. Dual bonding is the Rolls Royce of timber install methods and involves gluing rubber underlay to the subfloor as well as the floorboards to the top side of the underlay. This results in a highly insulated finish with superior acoustics.
